Born on September 11, 2001, this page uses The Wizard of Oz as a lens on the deception of our times. In the story, the Flying Monkeys carry out the Wicked Witch of the West's orders; here, the Witch stands for the forces that manipulate the masses and want your "ruby slippers" — your attention.
